MMXX‍   ‍exhibition by members of the Slovenian Designers Society

Culture and Congress Centre Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana

The biennial selected exhibition of the Designers` Association of Slovenia MMXX confronts the relationship between the virtual and the real. IMAGES OF TIME
exhibition of the Designers` Association of Slovenia

Culture and Congress Centre Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana

The purpose of the biennial selected exhibition of the Designers` Association of Slovenia is to present the "best" achievements and solutions in the field of design from the beginning of the DOS to the present day. The Designers` Association of Slovenia has been active for over sixty years, sharing its experience and knowledge with younger generations of designers. With the meaningful title of this retrospective exhibition, Images of Time, designers draw attention to the changed conditions in society and consequently also in design through the personal vision of the individual, or to the emphasized individualization, which sometimes borders on the egomaniac manifesto that we are witnessing today. The Images of Time exhibition also presents the most prominent stories of the past, showing the flourishing era of the emergence of successful, now mostly disappeared or (dis)sold Slovenian brands and companies that shaped success stories before or after independence.

DESK FURNITURE IN SLOVENIA
Stories of beauty, power and values from the 16th century to the present day

National Museum of Slovenia

More than sixty bearers of symbolic images in the exhibition express their hidden or direct message through various forms of desks. Among them is the workstation for the modern user Pix-el by authors Mateja Panter and Lenka Kavčič. A separate writing surface and storage space are no longer absolutely necessary today, but the working environment of an individual's life, the center of which is the desk, remains.
